Are you a high school student looking to make a real difference in your community? New York State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins is officially looking for motivated young leaders to join her Youth Advisory Council (YAC) for the 35th Senate District!
This is a unique chance for local students to step inside the world of state government, build their resumes, and ensure the voices of young people are heard in Albany.

Being a part of the YAC isn’t just about politics—it’s about developing skills that will last a lifetime. Members of the council will:

Who Is Eligible?
To apply, students must meet the following criteria:

Age: Must be between 14 and 18 years old.

Residency: Must live in Senate District 35 (which includes Yonkers, the Town of Greenburgh, and the Town of Mount Pleasant).
