Following closely behind JAS’ Pininfarina-designed NSX Restomod, Italdesign made a strong impression at the Tokyo Auto Salon by unveiling its own officially sanctioned interpretation of the iconic Honda NSX. Known as the Honda NSX Tribute, the concept is built on the second-generation NSX platform, leveraging its modern hybrid powertrain while blending classic design elements from the original model with bold, contemporary ideas.
At the front, retractable “eyelid” panels pay homage to the first-generation NSX’s pop-up headlights. These are paired with a sharply slanted hood featuring vents inspired by the NSX-R GT race car. A roof-mounted scoop flows seamlessly into an all-black greenhouse, another visual reference to the original NSX’s distinctive styling.
The rear of the vehicle reimagines the classic spoiler, transforming it into a continuous light bar that doubles as the taillight assembly. Inside, the cabin receives subtle yet refined upgrades that complement the car’s modern performance focus.
Produced as a highly limited, one-off creation, the Honda NSX Tribute is available exclusively in right-hand drive, making a U.S. release highly unlikely.
