2027 Nissan Fairlady Z Nismo Coupe

The Evolution of the Nissan Z Continues

Since its debut in 1969, the Nissan Z has been a symbol of affordable performance and classic sports car design. More than 50 years later, the Z has reached its seventh generation—and for 2027, it’s getting some exciting upgrades.

One of the biggest changes is the redesigned front end, which now uses a two-piece aerodynamic setup. Combined with the removal of the rear spoiler, this update helps reduce drag and improve stability at higher speeds. These changes aren’t just for looks—they’re meant to make the car perform better on the road.

Powering the 2027 Nissan Z is a retuned 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine producing 420 horsepower in Nismo trim. For the first time ever, drivers can pair this high-performance setup with a manual transmission. This new version is called the Nismo MT, giving driving enthusiasts more control and a more engaging experience behind the wheel.

The Z also receives performance upgrades where it counts. New brakes inspired by the Nissan GT-R improve stopping power, while updated monotube shock absorbers help deliver a smoother and more comfortable ride for both the driver and passengers.

The 2027 Nissan Z is set to launch in Japan this summer, with a U.S. release expected later this year. With its mix of history, innovation, and performance, the Nissan Z continues to prove why it remains one of the most iconic sports cars on the road.
